Thanksgiving

Rylee's home! Andie was very excited, said she "needed" Rylee to be home. One of the joys of having everyone home is walking into the "conservatory" (spiffy name for our dinning room which acts as the Wii/Xbox/music room) with Rylee on the piano and Brookie on the violin playing a duet. Love it. Love that my kids all know how to play some type of instrument.

The night ended with Haley and Andie going to Brooke and Steve's soccer practice to scrimmage with the team.

I'm grateful to have my family under one roof. We are blessed that both Rylee and Haley have the opportunity to attend BYU but we are also blessed that we're able to come together again during the holidays and spend time together.

My cute sister-in-law who lives in Montana sent me a very detailed email asking about the goings on of our family. So, in an effort to keep the family (and whoever else cares) updated I am really going to try to keep this blog going. We'll see!

Rylee - she's amazing. She is continuing with her English teaching degree and I think she has about a year left. She is coming home for Thanksgiving and we're so excited. It's actually because of Rylee I hesitate to write a blog since her blog is one of the funnest things for me to read. She's such a good writer! This picture is of her and one of her roommates, Desiree, and her friend Kyle after they had to call the fire department one night, almost setting their apartment on fire. Yikes!

Haley - she's amazing. She is leaving us for BYU in January to be with her sissy and one of her best friends, Kiersten Carr. She will be missed. She is our second (sometimes she thinks first) mommy around here. Today she received an email from one of the families she babysits with their little boy's thankful turkey and on one of his colorful feathers said "Haley." That about sums it up. She amazing and will be very missed by us. But, she's going to have a ball in Utah! If she doesn't freeze first. This picture is one of my favorites from her senior pictures.

Brooke - she's amazing. Brooke is excelling in choir and orchestra and is getting ready to try out for regionals, following in the footsteps of Rylee. She knows how to put an outfit together like nobody's business. She was showered with notes of love and gratitude on her birthday. Brooke is currently the marketing director for La Di Da Boutique, a boutique my friend and I started several years ago. It's hard to get a picture of Brooke because she's always behind the camera!

Andie - she's amazing. Andie is following in Haley's footsteps (big sisters really are a force for good) and is pursuing soccer and playing very well! We love to watch her fancy footwork on the field. She is also excelling in school and love going to ALP (Accelerated Learning Program) as did all of her sisters before her. She's going to be in junior high next year, oh my! And here's Andie doing her thing!

Steve and I are plugging along staying busy with work and church callings. We are grateful for our girls and so thankful for the area in which we live that we might raise our girls in safety and peace (sounds like the Primary song!).

So that's a wrap for now. I'll see if I can keep this up and keep the family informed.
